Here in Alabama, the practices of large PBMs threaten the existence of community pharmacies and stifle patient choice and access to care. They also drive up costs for patients, taxpayers, and employers.

• Fair and transparent index-based drug pricing + fair dispensing fee for payors, patients, and pharmacies
• Patient choice of and access to community pharmacies
• Pharmacist freedom to communicate with their patients without PBM restrictions
• Prohibiting point of sale, retroactive, and credentialing fees
• Increased DOI oversight; and
• Transparency and other protections for Alabama employers
